Downright Demolition is growing, and we’re looking for a reliable and organized labourer to join our team.
This role is primarily focused on the precision and oversight of the job from start to finish. It is critical that the individual performs demolition tasks while managing overall progress. It is a fast-paced environment in which punctuality, precision and hard physical labour is necessary.
Your job is to show up prepared, learn quickly and confidently execute demolition instructions as per the Site Superintendent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- - Operating scissor lifts, Hiltis, ride-on floor machines, sledgehammers, and crowbars
- - Extensive knowledge of power tools, including maintenance and blade changes
- - Maintaining a high pace to ensure demolition stays on schedule
- - Coordinating with Labourer 1 to organize debris for quick removal
- - Communicating daily with the customer team, Site Supervisor, and General Foreman.
- - Organizing crews and providing Labourer 2s with clear demolition priorities.
- - Assigning daily tasks and ensuring waste is moving efficiently.
- - Educating and training Labourer 1s to help them transition into Labourer 2 positions.
- - Running onsite safety meetings and reporting any missing equipment.
- - Maintaining a productive job site and reporting to the Site Superintendent during daily visits.

Experience & Requirements
- - Experience in construction is required
- - Ownership of individual PPE (Steel-toed 6-inch rise boots, hard hat, safety vest, eye protection) is required
- - Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification is required
- - Fall Arrest is required
- - First Aid is required
- - Elevated work platform is required
- - Valid driver’s license for operating a truck and trailer (Class 5) is required

Compensation
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
